Like a young Wayne Rooney against Arsenal in 2002, Stanley Kubrick’s establishment before becoming an all-time great, and it’s fair to say that this is brimming with some of that potential. Integrating his roots of photography, using the camera to capture a story and enhancing the viewer’s interest in an otherwise uninteresting subject matter. Structurally, it feels like a psychological study of an anxiety-inducing day without ever having to explain much to us. I loved this.
I wonder if anyone knew what this guy would go on to do for the art form.
