Vengeance Is Mine is not in a hurry to comfort you. Roemer makes you marinate in discomfort with little promise of resolution. Healing arrives in fragments, but the catatonic despair still lingers with Catholic guilt. Through the arrival and departure mirroring each other, the form insists on stasis even as the narrative hints at recovery.
