yeah wow this movie really leaves you with an empty feeling in your gut the whole time. from the start with her just casually bringing up a couple people being killed right there this movie is just really unsettling.

then we find out the backstory of our characters and understand why they are that way and what they’re doing in this current situation. we find bg’s situation to just be so awful i mean years of trauma from everyone in her family getting to a point where she almost loses all hope in people and rightfully so.

that ending is really beautiful though with her believing that killing her father who’s done all these terrible things to her would help with all of her problems. but instead she finally receives unconditional love that she’s been needing her whole life. 

i love that we don’t know much about our guy because even without you can tell the type of person he is and helps guide bg on her journey. this is really harrowing take on the loss of innocence from trauma and the effects it can have

I was expecting a cute little road trip movie.

It was triggering but the aftermath of trauma was well written. Yet, I don't know if we needed so many flashbacks and not more quality time between the two protagonists who were adorable!

They’re going on their healing journey now. The last scene had my heart.
