The main character uses severe catfishing and emotional manipulation, yet the narrative completely avoids holding her accountable for her toxic behavior.

Sierra Burgess is not just a loser, she’s an evil, insecure, jealous, fake, nasty, disgusting, manipulative, narcissistic fucking bitch.
I don’t know what they had over Kristine Froseth to make her do this film, but it must have been some seriously good blackmail.
Sierra is a terrible character who enjoys manipulating and terrorizing some poor guy. Don’t even get me started on how goddamn narcissistic she is, she literally makes every single thing throughout this film about herself.
As much as Veronica is a cliche Netflix-esque bully, I didn’t really hate her character? I thought they did an okay job at giving her character the emotional arc she needed. Of course, I’m probably quite biased, as I do love Kristine Froseth, but I do think that she gave her character a good performance. All that said however, she did also go along with pranking the fuck out of Jamey, I mean that blindfold kiss scene literally felt like I was watching a sexual assault occur right before my very eyes.
Jamey is probably the only character in this film that feels even halfway realistic. And as for Dan, why the hell are you remaining friends with this fat fuck who is out here ruining lives.
There was like three seconds where I thought the soundtrack was good, and then they just ruined it. If they had utilized the synth style that they were going for, it could’ve actually become a fantastic soundtrack.
Sierra hacking into Veronica’s account and posting that photo had me fucked up. How can someone be so fucking stupid that the guy that they’ve been catfishing, kisses the girl he thinks he’s dating, and then you get full of rage and go and destroy your best friends life.
My level of anger for the ending knows no bounds. Jamey, why the FUCK are you taking this stupid whore to prom after she catfished you. Veronica, why are you hugging and laughing with this human whale after she DESTROYED your life at school??!!!!
The only part of this entire script I liked, was the line “your looks are the least ugly thing about you” because FUCK, yes.
I need to take at least six shots to calm myself down from this “film”.
