Pretty atrocious. I could make a better movie. The final five minutes (and that’s a generous approximation) are probably the only minutes of quality in the entire film. It cares nothing for cohesion. Not a single character gets a decent introduction. The editing is lazy and reinforces my disinterest. There is neither intrigue or narrative. The exposition is the only thing that informs the motivation and even that often feels arbitrarily forced. Overall a consistent source of unenjoyment with a silver lining ending.

If all else fails, go big big BIG on the performances and you can take a relatively simple gothic folk horror plot and make it sing. Lurid and heaving but wears out a little between histrionics. The (few) kills bring to mind both Blood And Black Lace and Graduation Day, but way less crazy.
