A mysterious gunfighter named Django is employed by a local crooked political boss as a hangman to execute innocent locals framed by the boss, who wants their land. What the boss doesn't know is that Django isn't hanging the men at all, just making it look like he is, and using the men he saves from the gallows to build up his own "gang" in order to take revenge on the boss, who, with Django's former best friend, caused the death of his wife years before.
"Preparati la bara!" is the sort of follow up to Sergio Corbucci's "Django".
The main role here is Terence Hill instead of Franco Nero, whom you know from the original, but Hill plays quite well and is able to convince. Unfortunately, the film is not as dirty and brutal as the original, nevertheless it has moments that have a certain brutality, especially at the end, and the body count is also quite high. The score is pretty good and I especially liked the title song, but when it comes to editing the film is a little weak in places, but it still has the classic italo western zooms.

The plot then goes in a direction that I didn't particularly like and every now and then the film is a little slow, but the finale then picks up again and in general the action and the shootouts are good.
