Listen, if this was meant as a commentary on how women and girls go through horrible sexualization and assaults in life, alright… but if this was just an excuse to get a 17-18 year old on camera and get her naked… ew… I mean gosh, I can acknowledge the fact that this was made in 1969, but I don’t think that should immediately make EVERYTHING in this movie okay… the aesthetics were nice, cinematography and “mise en scene” is always a good thing for movies to have, and it was campy… but yikes… maybe I’m being a “little Gen Z snowflake”, maybe my “media literacy” is lacking. If you like the movie, good for you, don’t make it my problem…

Visually this movie looks great! But it’s not great, plot wise or in any other aspect except the commitment of the actors . It had some attempts of humor in the beginning but as the movie progresses you quickly realize it’s not funny- it feels repetitive, boring, way to long, and the movie quickly loses the plot it never had in the first place. 

It’s just 2 hours of men harassing Eva’s character (Candy) , which was not an enjoyable watch.

Perfect example as to why you can’t have a movie with little to no plot and rely on shock value. I couldn’t even tell you what that ending meant 😭.

was no one gonna mention that ringo star played a racist caricature of a Mexican gardener??? even worse, the SA??? And she’s supposed to be a teenager?? Like it genuinely kept getting worse

ame está película pero considero q no es para todos, q la trama sea básicamente sobre una chica inocente con buenas intenciones q busca ayudar a la gnte y salvar a su padre y d la cual abusan constantemente x su fé en la humanidad m parece ya fascinante, q el género sea d comedia es algo q m hace gustar d esta peli algo más (q entiendo q no a tdos les pueda gustar) pero m gusta q se burle constantemente d la obsesión masculina cn follar, tmb q el personaje d Candy sea una idealización d la mujer q todos los hombres desean teniendo ella la mentalidad d una niña d 5 años, yo interpreto esta peli cmo una burla a la sociedad misogina tmb m pareció muy interesante q el camino d Candy terminara en el budismo, tmb las variedades d etnias q se muestran (aunq sean casi tdos gringos cn la piel pintada y la gran cantidad d chistes racistas (q al final tmb es comedia)) tmb m gusto mxo q rumbo fuese tan incoherente y q la historia en sí fuese tan extravagante, pero en fin 5/5.
