I can say, I am unexpectedly surprised by how well made this film is. First and foremost, I had absolutely no idea Alex Pettyfare directed a movie. Not just a movie, an extremely tragic movie about child abuse. From the beginning, I was kind of off put with some of the characters. I felt especially uneasy with our main character Harley. Right off the bat, you could tell this kid was carrying a heavy burden of some kind. Not even the obvious kind—the fact that he is raising his three younger sisters alone while working two jobs. But something else was on his chest that even he, himself couldn’t seem to comprehend. This movie made me uncomfortable, uneasy, sad, and emotional. To top it all off, the ending was absolutely devastating.

Had its moments. Competently shot at points but also featuring a run-of-the-mill screenplay with a kind of insulting ending honestly. Curious to see what Pettyfer does next as a director though.
