This is an incredibly powerful and comprehensive documentary and it baffles me that this isn’t more widely known.
It mostly lets Malcolm X himself talk for about 90 minutes and completely understands that his own words hold a power and an effect that nothing else could match. And in those 90 minutes it gives you a great and insightful overview of who Malcolm was, what he stood for and the personal journey he’s been on his entire life. And his speeches and interviews were so good.
He’s one of the many people who should’ve lived longer. One can only imagine what great things he could’ve done if he hadn’t been killed.
