Very intriguing. It feels like its doing what the movie did here as well, and Andy did through his career. is this a bit Jim's doing? But then the timing of it is weird, seems it would have worked better releasing this closer to Man on the Moon's release... but then it also works as a retrospective of Carey's career, especially since he has done no other work after this that isn't Sonic the Hedgehog.
I wonder if his PR team saw the footage taken during the movie and told him to sit on it until he retires, since people might think you're too much of a weird asshole to work with if they see it. But I honestly didn't think there was anything bad or even that weird with what he did - for the most part. Talking to Andy's family as Andy to try and comfort them is pretty fucked tho.
