‘you should sacrifice yourself to the art’> Interesting documentary about Tarkovsky's interactions with cinema, Italian travel, and direction, which I am ending with his filmography. It was great to hear him talk about Antonioni and Fellini. I want to discuss his directorial style in this review and the overall impression I acquired from his cinematic language. last year, I watched 'Mirror' by him first, and although many assert that this is not the best film for starting one's acquaintance with his art, it deeply resonated with me. I've just never seen anything so personal and transcendent in its surreality> slow and meditative cinema always captures my passion, as it is the only genre to which I can fully connect emotionally. therefore, his pictures felt unique and impossible in comparison. I like how they work with human nature and the inner world, combine black and white and color shots, and concentrate on close-ups. and every frame seems to be a work of art. at the same time, I have a problem with writing reviews about many of his films. for example, ‘Solaris’ was really personal to me, and I even couldn't put my thoughts into words. I believe that a piece of each of his films continue to live in my soul, and I will definitely come back to some of them. now I'm interested in reading ‘Sculpting in Time‘ and watch more from other Soviet directors Andrei Tarkovsky ranked
