In the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook, single dad and record store owner Frank is preparing to send his hard-working daughter Sam off to college while being forced to close his vintage shop. Hoping to stay connected through their shared musical passions, Frank urges Sam to turn their weekly jam sessions into a father-daughter live act. After their first song becomes an internet breakout, the two embark on a journey of love, growing up and musical discovery.

Someone’s review for this movie said, and I quote,
“…the original songs in this are better than the ones in A Star is Born.”

And to that I say that’s the biggest joke I’ve ever heard. No songs in this movie come even remotely close to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper singing Shallow.

Only thing giving this movie three stars and not two and a half is that Nick Offerman gave a good performance and he seems really proud of this movie.

kiersey clemons, i adore you. 🤍

kiersey clemons and nick offerman worked so well off of each other and i think sasha lane is great. actually felt like toni colette was wasted in this film/her plot felt a little disjointed, but it is what it is. not a plot heavy story, but it had a lot of heart and a lot of feeling. just very sweet.
