Only thing saving this movie is the half baked themes and Jessie Buckleys performance.
It’s just trying to do to much at once whilst simultaneously really doing nothing at all. Most of the acting felt very forced and the screenplay just wasn’t the best. Setting and atmosphere was poorly handled resulting in the climaxes to feel flat. Just based on the themes it’s trying to get across it could have been an incredible film but every aspect that makes a film great is toned down a step in this movie.

this rating just kept going up because of how much it stuck with me it's just like my life😭😭.. in a way💔 and to actively gatekeep I do have like two specific songs from a very gorgeous and one of my fav albums so everytime I listen to it I really just let myself sink into the movie and song it's just perfect
also to importantly mention this being Jessie's debut film is just so wow like she just delivered everything so perfectly and quite literally made this movie I can go on for days talking about her spectacular performance I'd probably just go mad tho so just give her another 10 million oscars
