what this documentary shows isn’t just some old tradition it’s grotesque machinery of power. it reveals how some men use their position to take advantage of others, especially the most helpless. how patriarchy takes something innocent like care or affection and turns it into something dark and abusive and how years of war and violence have messed up people’s sense of right and wrong, making it easier for abuse to be ignored. and worst of all, some of these men still use religion as a cover, pretending to be holy while doing horrible things behind closed doors. they wear the clothes of faith, but their actions are the complete opposite of what real faith stands for.
