CANNES CUT!

One of the most creative and profound films I’ve ever seen. Can’t say I completely understand, but I felt it all. So beautifully sentimental, and forgiving, while being fucking insane. A truly one of a kind film that can only be birthed by giving voices to minds like Richard Kelly. That entire final sequence had me on the verge of tears, so strangely moving. The soundtrack elevates each scene, and y’all know I love a soundtrack that becomes synonymous with the film. I’ll never be able to listen to Pixies, Muse, Blur, and Moby without thinking of this film, but especially The Killers. Congratulations Justin Timberlake, you own All These Things That I’ve Done now. People are so wrong about movies, this is without a doubt, a masterpiece of heartfelt chaos. Perfect hangover movie!

Lost for words. Depressingly(though also hilariously) relevant.

I really had no idea what to expect, other than an incredibly divisive film that supposedly makes little sense. Did it make little sense? Ehhhh, kinda. Obviously missing 3 chapters of backstory, and thrust right into the middle of the story will kinda do that. Though honestly through the newscasts and some background information on Revelations really does wonders here.

Most of all I just applaud Richard Kelly. This was a massive swing, and I really just don't think audiences were ready for it at the time. I think they're ready for it now.

Also, how stacked was this cast?? The Rock's best role.
