I hope it's the adaptation that sucks. Honestly, the only very interesting part is the first one, where Jane is still a kid. Probably thanks to Anna Paquin, who is an amazing actress, that made the character very brilliant. Aside from that, i found the story pretty boring. In additon to Edward being a complete idiot, his and Jane's actors had no chemistry. I should read the book (or at least watch another adaptation) to understand what Jane found in him. I don't want to judge the original story, but by only watching this I have to say that the only interesting storyline was the one about her and Helen. The rest just provided me a sequence of yawns
