There is not a single moment of happiness in this movie. It was so raw and violent, and the fact that everything showed actually happened just makes you want to cry even more.
The final scene with real Marie is just so saddening. This was so well made as everything about it is depressing. Rosamund did a really remarkable job.

Don't mind me, just found another reason to despise the 91st academy awards
I don't usually give serious reviews on this app but It's such a shame that this movie was completely ignored by the academy and mostly all kinds of media given its importance and relevance. Rosamund Pike and Jamie Dornan bring their all to their performances which conveys a real sense of respect and gravitas for the people and events this film depicts. This film is utterly heartbreaking and one that I wish was given more attention.

What’s the opposite of a jump scare? Because that’s how I feel whenever Stanley Tucci pops into a movie.
But fr.. this movie showed me that I am a weak coward and I can’t fathom living through something like this. Absolutely gut-wrenching.
