This HURT. This movie honestly it’s one of those ones that I can only watch once. Tennant was absolutely amazing as usual however contrary to popular belief I think Parish’s performance as Tricia really glued and put this all together. Everyone’s on about how Tennant didn’t receive any award from this but how did Parish not!! The characters are all written with such a crooked imperfect nature it fits the entire theme so well, there was atleast one point in the movie where I hated every character, yet I was able to be brought back and understand why everyone acted the way that they did. I did feel at points though that some characters were overly unnecessarily rude and weird however that might just be the intention, it was made in 2007. Anyways, this is such an underrated film and for a low budget bbc movie it is shockingly good. I feel like this is a movie which deserves 4 stars and has the potential to be five but I rank it 3-3.5 because it’s a movie I feel like I can only watch once because of the embarrassing moments I just don’t quite enjoy watching in movies or tv shows in general but that’s just a me thing. Also I feel like it could’ve been so much more but like at times it just felt a bit rushed. Reading everyone’s reviews on this and the YouTube video I watched the movie on hurt like this could happen to anyone at anytime. 3.5 stars (mentally a 5, a star for each time we saw tennant’s ass)
