I didn't expect this shit to be this sad, wtf. The mother-son dynamic is so beautiful and heart-warming, it makes the story much more meaningful as their not the sae species. Loved how it primary focuses on the two leads and their connection together, it's so captivating to watch. The ending was so emotional, lowkey got me tearing up a bit. The character design of the Iorphs was incredibly done. The art is visually stunning and the music complements well with it. For the things I disliked were mostly based of personal preference, like I wish it was slower paces to really grasp more of the mother-son dynamic so it makes the ending much more emotional. I wish they emphasized what the Iorphs meant when they said they can "fly", since it's not entirely self-explanatory. I liked the meaning towards the end when the main character states how they can always protect each other despite not being physically there, but having the hope of the thought of each other. Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms is a sad, heart-breaking, lovely film that'll make angels cry
