I think I would have appreciated this more if I actually read it.
Yes this was visually stunning and acting was good but I didn't care for the characters at all.

Even with subtitles, I can barely understand what these characters are saying... Good movie, though! Very visually striking.

I hoped to love this like I loved Macbeth but unfortunately that was not the case. It just feels so strangely off, the scenery and lighting isn't as good as it was in Macbeth but mostly it's the editing that irks me. It feels random and confused and it took me out of it several times.
I try to ignore the fact that it's Orson Welles in brownface playing Othello but despite his performance being very good it did make me uncomfortable while watching
