A simple story with charming special effects, The Girl on the Broomstick’s fish out of water tale follows Saxana, a young girl at a school for witches with no great talent for magic nor much of a desire to study it. The limitations of supposed limitless power do not appeal to her and upon escaping from 300 years of detention, she finds that the more mundane world is much more satisfying. It’s just a cute story about how the easy way out comes with consequences that are more trouble than they’re worth wrapped up in some witchy vibes. Very good film for young children
