There are scenes in this movie where Henry Winkler is doing something buffoonish, and the supporting characters are all looking at him with annoyed expressions. The movie tells us we're supposed to sympathize with Winkler, but I was right next to these other character in thinking that he's just plain irritating. And once you realize he's going to be acting like this throughout the entire movie, it becomes a dreadful experience.
