The North Star seems culturally relevant today. It’s about a village in the Ukraine reacting to the invasion of the Nazis in 1941. That’s all there is to it. Aaron Copland did the score, which is cool. It’s lowkey Soviet propaganda, despite being produced entirely in the United States. 5/10

i find it very very interesting that this is one of the only pro-soviet films in the us, it’s a true testament of how quickly things change.
