Plumbs similar depths, in its exploration of the evil in the mundane and the magick of the uncanny, as The Appointment. Bates is superb, the infringement of the otherworldly into pastoral life is realised gorgeously. I just needed more from it. A rewatch will hopefully enlighten me.
