It’s not bad it’s just not good.
Didn’t care for the trope which I guess is the whole movie already. But what Camille said to him in the resturant was true. It would’ve been better if she didn’t backtrack and apologise. He does have no imagination no heart and no balls.
Maybe I just don’t like French men which takes me to my other point of how beautiful each lady is and how okay-looking the guys are. I know that’s the norm in France though. Then I was wondering why the women are so beautiful and i realise French guys go marry women from other countries to save their kids genetics. Or even the other way around, Emmanuelle Beart who plays Camille is French on her mother’s side and Egyptian on her father’s. I think France is one of those countries where marrying someone from your country should be discouraged. Anyways I will not spread hate speech on letterboxd even tho it’s a tiny bit deserved. But yeah i guess this one just goes on the shelf of the hundreds other movies like it. Wasn’t bad tho
What went on with him does hurt for all parties I guess except Maxime He just doesn’t have any expressions on his face so it’s hard to tell with him. I sympathise with how humiliating it must’ve been for her and how hard for him it was to force anything. Of course her being beautiful would change things for the audience and how his character is perceived like OMG He passes up the hot girl… but it’s tough and i get it and i like his character even tho I sorta dissed him earlier
