This is maybe the coziest feeling anticapitalist film I've ever seen, it's so warm and full of love, yet also so purposely empty at times. Capital divides us like nothing else and this film does such a good job at encouraging us to love and to come together.
Aside from the anticapitalist things, this film is also just so wonderful. It's such a simple journey, but all of the people feel so real. We all feel pain, regardless of how "successful" you are. I really love how they used music in this, it's sparse but perfectly placed.
Miso is also one of the most charismatic characters I've ever seen, she's such a joy to watch and is the perfect protagonist for this film. I love that she's a beacon of hope, a reason to keep your passions alive when capitalism is actively trying to kill them.
I wasn't expecting to cry at the end, it wasn't even necessarily sad, if anything Miso's ending was wonderful and satisfying. I think there was a severe sadness in a very small moment where all of her friends realised that they've stopped really living life, and are only just existing.
