Amanda's deathbed request to her son, John, was for him to destroy all the lab notes etc. from her last experiment. She also blurts out he had a brother. At the funeral John meets Melissa, who claims to be his mother's biggest fan. Together with some of John's friends they go to Amanda's house, but none are prepared for what they find there.

Dr.John is such a HUNK!
I’ve found the thing that scares me the most and its NAST, GROSS, CREATURES. I can do blood, murder, etc. I cannot do slime and nasty things. 

Anyways this was all of that.

Wish it didn’t lean into so much of a slow burn, because when it lets loose it goes insane.

The Kindred
A pretty solid monster movie, made me realise how few mad science experiment horror movies I’ve seen.
I always like the spooky house with a dark secret trope.
The practical effects were great, both the creatures and also one horrifying body horror scene.
The plot was also pretty interesting but the turnout wasn’t anything mindblowing.
The main flaw is really just not enough monster scenes but the ones we get are very good.
