Recently I read Groucho Marx's autobiography where he spends an unusually long time talking about the gorilla actor in At the Circus (but barely any mention of his far supirior films at Paramount). In this book he gave a nearly encyclopedic look at the "gorilla skin" business (coincidentally the chimp actor is the same in both films). This prior knowledge made this Laurel and Hardy outing quite an interesting watch. Plus those to guys have such good chemistry I could watch anything they're in.
