When Andrew Briggman — a young soldier in the US Army during the invasion of Afghanistan — witnesses the murderous behavior of fellow soldiers, under the direction of a malevolent Sergeant, he faces a moral dilemma. His increasingly-violent platoon becomes suspicious that someone in their ranks has turned on them, and Andrew begins to fear for his safety. A fictionalized dramatization based on a true story.

It tries to make the viewer "reflect" and question itself; it ends up coming across as rather shallow. There's a well crafted tension, but nothing remarkable. The best part of the film's definitely the acting, Skarsgård genuinely frightened me (after seeing Big Little Lies it looks like he plays a sociopath very well...), and Wolff's alright.

well little did i know this was terrifying ! :3
being one person, surrounded by killers, trying to do what you think is right which ends up putting you yourself in danger is so scary as a concept. we see this scenario often in other settings, for example standing up to someone else's bully at school, but this takes that concept to another level
us soldiers murdering civilians is a horrifying and yet potentially not a completely untrue tale; and its rare when we see a different moral standpoint from a movie like this but a24 is unique in their storytelling
while the setting isn't unique, i think the moral proposition is interesting, being a black sheep amongst your peers and higher ups because of your moral compass which potentially makes you a target its an awful yet slow realization when you have to finally comply but that only ends badly for everyone
