Normalization of misogyny, rape, SA culture, and just every aspect that comes with it. It’s obviously not something I like in a film and overall it felt very bland despite its colorful hues and pretty interesting way of cinematography. From the poster and excerpt, you would have thought no doubt that this was a revenge piece. Wow… I feel as though nothing happened and I believe that’s the point of it. The subject matter faced was just normalized as it is in the real-world. It’s not fully talked about nor is something done to fully prevent such things like this from happening. No one will ever understand besides the women who get into this, what it is truly like or how hard it is for them to get out of situations like these and the mental capacity it takes to comprehend that something so vile as sexual assault is happening to you. I don’t think this was also made to make you feel bad for the main character as it just goes on and it’s just not something even I can fully understand as to why she would let that happen to her, but at the same time I get it. It’s just embedded into Sascha and she’s way too in deep. Not only that, but her rage was discernibly misplaced because her state of mind is gone and no one, not even herself, can save her.
