At the fourth film, this series kind of just starts to feel like basic NPC action movies. Honestly, I think it’s pretty much on the same level as the first three, they just have the benefit of people hearing Jason Bourne and thinking Matt Damon.
The departure from Jason Bourne isn’t even my main gripe, it’s just so unbelievably mid. It feels like a movie that would be playing in the background of another movie. Rachel Weisz surprisingly carried though lol. Also Oscar Isaac, good to know he’s in this to add to my Cine2Nerdle options. If you haven’t played it, it’s online and free and you need to check it out.
Actually this movie is so mediocre I’d rather talk a little about Cine2Nerdle in this review. This movie is a good play for it because it has Edward Norton too, plus some sleeper cast.
I’ve been so locked into Cine2Nerdle lately that I can’t even watch movies normally anymore. Half the time I’m not even following the plot, I’m just mentally filing away cast connections.
