Los Angeles homicide detective Jerry Beck searches for the murderer who killed a police officer on Christmas Eve. The investigation takes Beck inside the violent world of hate groups and white supremacists, who are hatching a deadly plot to attack even more innocent people. Beck must also confront his own personal demons, including his growing problem with alcohol, if he wants to track down and stop the violent neo-Nazis before it is too late.

Dead Bang
This movie is made and set like a year or 2 before the book 2024's The Order would pull its source material from and by golly they're the same god damn movie. Not in a plagiarism kind of way, but Frankenhiemer is hitting on something in this film that was clearly in the air now and Kurzel is hitting on something very eerily similar and larger scale with that very same subject matter nearly 30 years on. Frankenhiemer knows what he's doing with the lens and Don Johnson's got just the right amount of presence to lead this as well as he does.
