Glæder mig så meget til filmene om Aegon’s Conquest. Jeg elsker hvordan det er de forskellige karakterer der fortæller om deres families historie, så Jaime Lannister og Sansa Stark der hver især fortæller om Lannisters og Starks. Elsker også at Dunk havde en lille appearance, men ville ønske at de havde lidt mere med om ham.

(I have actually watched Conquest and Rebellion and it's a bit shit. I've given it 2.5 stars but I'm using this review to talk about my first watch of Game of Thrones.)

Game of Thrones is, without a doubt, the best series I’ve ever had the pleasure to witness. From the very first episode, it pulled me into a world that feels ancient, alive, political, dangerous, and deeply human. The world building is some of the best of all time, and the sheer strength of its ensemble cast is something very few shows have ever managed to achieve.
The sets and cinematography are some of the best I’ve ever seen in a series. Every location feels real and lived-in, and it all looks absolutely stunning on screen. You can feel the scale, the history, and the weight of the world in every frame.
Peter Dinklage gives one of the best performances I’ve ever seen as Tyrion Lannister. His wit, vulnerability, intelligence, and emotional range make him one of the most compelling characters in television history.
I really don’t think that the ending is too awful. It hasn’t ruined the show for me, but that may be because I wasn’t watching for eight years and waiting between seasons. There are definitely several decisions I don’t like, but nothing I feel is wildly out of character. I just think Seasons 7 and 8 really needed to be ten episodes like the earlier seasons, so these events could have been built up to instead of feeling like they came out of nowhere.
One of the best things about the earlier seasons is the ever-present concept of time. Travel felt slow, distances mattered, and the world felt huge. But as soon as Daenerys arrives in Westeros, everybody suddenly seems to get to the other side of the country in about two minutes, and that shift is very noticeable.
Even with those issues, this is still a masterpiece and one of the most ambitious, immersive, and unforgettable series ever made.
And because I feel a bit empty after finishing this I've started embarking on A So f of Ice and Fire to finish then before Winds of Winter comes out (it's coming soon I swear 🫩).
