In college, the incredible Jack Zuckerman walked into my room on a Saturday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go see a movie. I said sure. 30 minutes later, we were at the Tivoli for a matinee.
It was the second day this had been in out in the US. I’ll remember the shock of that one scene forever. What an awesome moment, that’s what theaters are all about. The whole theater was screaming.
The Tivoli is closed now (RIP). I haven’t spoken with Jack in years. But writing this made me happy, and I’ve texted him to let him know.
