Busan, South Korea, 1970s. Lee Doo-sam is a small-time smuggler. After helping a drug gang to smuggle meth, he falls into the dark crime world. Quick-witted and full of ambition, he eventually takes over the drug underworld and starts to lead a double life: a good community leader during the day but an infamous drug lord during the night.
I don't know how to begin to describe this film In my opinion it's one of the best crime films I have ever seen this film is like the Korean version of scarface the story of the film follows the cat and mouse chase between prosecutor kim in-goo played by Jo Jung-suk and the lee doo-sam played by the legendary Korean actor song Kang-ho who is our main character lee is a small time smuggler who becomes the tony montana of south Korea and Japan we see him trough out the film becoming more and more greedy and by the end his greed is the thing that leaves him in the end all alone and nothing more than wealthy junkie and unlike tony montana he does not go down in a blazze of glory he tries to commit suicide but after he fails he becomes nothing more than a rat the film is the classic rise and fall gangster film but with that special Korean feeling to it I highly recommend you watch this film its another jam from south Korea

A bit hard to follow given the amount of characters and situations but Song Kang-ho carries the film through his sheer charisma.
