seriously though, it’s wild how relevant this movie is nearly 50 years later—some of the lines the sheriff & bootleggers said about the young protestors you can literally hear from any news pundit nowadays WOOF!
the car chases were pretty good by 70s standards but the story kind of stalls out bc burt’s character just stops driving the action of the plot at a certain point. (none of those were meant to be driving puns btw)
