Not that i really understood everything (i watched this last night and it means, that i was very sleepy) but this might be one of the most beautiful films i’ve seen. That explains, because Agnes Varda was a photographer before stepping into filmmaking.
Ive never seen The Godfather or La La land, but discovering Varda and these cool movements (French New Wave, Dogme 95…) really changed my perspective of cinema. I could’ve never imagined, that filmmaking hides something deep inside of it… Sure, it mainly consists of watching films and, possibly, realizing your ideas in films, but not so long ago i found out, that cinema is a whole another world of excellent stuff, that i could NOT explain…
I have to address something… There is no starting point (or a limit) of witnessing a movie! As long as you are passionate about it, you could be at the same level of, i dont know, Martin Scorsese? (pretty big comparison) I haven’t watched Anora or Shaun of The Dead, but that doesnt stop me from becoming a filmmaker..
