Not exactly something I could call an equivalent, comparable in quality or even a spiritual successor, but Walking and Talking is most definitely operating in the same vein as When Harry Met Sally…, and will no doubt appeal to fans of down to earth comfy slicings-of-life. A lovely little snapshot of a specific period in space and time about two lifelong friends going through the ups and downs of romance, featuring a who's who of indie actors (this is the kind of film you'd think the repertory players of Hal Hartley and Whit Stilman would appear in, but NOOOOOOO!!!!). Kevin Corrigan works at a video store and wears an mbv shirt. Need I say more?
