Barbara was the best part of this, maybe it’ll grow on me. I thrifted it for $1 so that was pretty cool, I love the methodist thrift they have so many old movies for a dollar, shoutout to them

Biff: "Hey, lady, you left your motor runnin'."
Dixie: "Don't get excited. You didn't start it." ˳·˖ ִֶ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃
Here I am, once again, endlessly thanking Edith Head for putting Barbara Stanwyck in these types of numbers.

If I was a little less obsessed with Stanwyck I may have been able to write a more comprehensive review. Anyhow, Barbara Stanwyck is the glue holding this film together - and she does it fabulously. The cartwheels, splits and breakdancing (all in heels!!), dressed by Edith Head; only solidifies my appreciation of the costume design. And how could you not be totally enamoured by her singing about g strings! without any dubbing!! UGH HER VOICE!
