In a good way, this is the film equivalent to vomiting and not feeling better at all.
It has an unusual comedic structure that I really appreciate, where it builds a nauseous atmosphere and lets it play out, rather than using the normal build-up and catharsis structure of jokes, which would have made it easier to process. This lack of catharsis prevents Abbie from becoming the butt of the joke; the disgust, claustrophobia, and slow pacing all force you to feel how Abbie feels, preventing it from becoming a simple stoner/gross-out comedy.
