Fred Armisen: Standup for Drummers

You can tell Fred put so much effort into this. Truly, it is for drummers but I’m no drummer. I find his comedy hilarious, especially on SNL and Portlandia. I genuinely think he’s funny. I guess this isn’t for me. The thing that kept me watching though if hearing Fred speak. I could hear him speak about drumming for hours. He just captivates me. 

I don’t know if it’s a bad thing about me or a good thing about me but I’m attracted to him. I think because of when I saw him on SNL, like season 35, I was like, “Holy.” He’s funny and good looking to me. Idk, maybe a me thing.

Also, that accent part, I don’t think Southern California sounds like that. Love you Fred

While I definitely wasn’t the target audience for this special, it’s actually insane how Fred can be one of the funniest human beings alive and also be an incredibly talented musician playing all these different instruments in different styles. 

On a more personal note, this week multiple friends pointed out to me (after watching one of his Update features) that I have these long-winded setups, diversions, and tangents when I tell stories, and this special just confirmed to me that I absolutely got that from watching Fred on SNL and talk shows growing up. My therapist would probably like to have a word with him either to scold him for making her job harder or thank him for putting her in a position where she can bill for more time.
