Might not be Ferrara most important work or anything special but it is fun and refreshing. So much about this screams Ferrara, the familiar cast, the dark color pallet, the setting being taken straight out of Fears City. HOWEVER the tome is much more joyful, lighthearted and fun than what were used to in s Ferrara movie. His movies have always included snippets of humor overshadowed by all the bleak, dark and serious shit, but with this time he lets the humor shine. Calling a Ferrara movie lighthearted might be an overstatement from my part, but it's definitely one of his more approachable works that still manage to capture so much of what he is known for. Refreshing watch in the context of his filmography
