After modern civilization is wiped away by a solar flare, a criminal tries to earn his freedom by chasing down something worthwhile for a warlord.
This movie is fun enough, with some creative action sequences here and there. However, the main villain of the piece is cartoony and lacks character to the point where you don’t give a shit if the good guy wins or not—I sure as hell didn’t. The overall main objective of the main character is accomplished at the end.
In accomplishing that goal, he does something where I’m going, “You wanna do what, and you wanna give what to another questionable warlord?” I just don’t know. The action scenes don’t make up for this movie’s shortcomings in the storytelling department.

This is the one where Samuel L. Jackson calls Bautista the "Motherfucker of Cultural Appropriation."

So I recorded this off TV thinking it was 2022’s Aftersun. About 10 seconds in when I heard Dave Bautista’s narration about being an expert tracker, I realized I had made a mistake. The remote was too far away so I just sat there and watched. This was not very good but it did make me fondly remember the action crap I used to watch Saturday nights on Cinemax when I was a kid.
