Crazy how chris pratt went from this kind of movie to Guardians of the galaxy in just 3 years. But I really hated Chris pratts character. But that just means he played his tole really well.

i had no expectations for this, considering i went into this blind. i was scrolling hulu and went “what in the world is this” and hey!!! this was fun!!! made me realize that a number of movies use the name shermer highschool. 

as much as i like the idea of a what im going to call a retro romcom, this felt like it didn’t need to take place in the 80s… yanno?

everything i hate in a bad romcom. just boring, bad, annoying and has some intolerable characters… aswell as some weird creepy unethical stuff. idk the whole concept of lying to someone about who you are and what you do up until RIGHT after you have sex with them is just so yucky to me and playing it off comedically and then having it work out and try to to make it come off as endearing is so fucking weird and i’m surprised the reviews are eating this up tbh 😭 maybe i’m too woke

a lot of the music was solid tho and it was too boring to really get me worked up enough for a 1/2 star. it came so close tho bc just the concept was ew and has anybody advise nobody deserved a happy ending this.

FUN FACTS: honestly this was so boring it doesn’t deserve a fun fact but i feel obligated to.. i’ll give one ab chris pratt bc that is what this deserves ig 😭 him and anna ferris actually met on this set and they r ended up getting married and having a kid before getting DIVORCED so theres that
