A solid documentary that covers the life and death of icon Whitney Houston. You instantly feel for Whitney, even though in the middle you question "Why am I watching this?" It lacks an emotional core at that point since it is just going through her success. But after that point, it is really stellar. The interviews here are great too, and emotional at points. The big drawback is some of the editing in the montages, while neat the first time they use it, becomes overdone by the third time the same structure is used. Despite some obnoxious editing and a lack of focus, this documentary still feels personal while doing justice to Whitney's story.
