Let her dissapear

Love Maggie's and Iris's friendship. They were so similar yet different
She was never bad

Also love that Iris did not see Maggie differently after she kissed her

Imo te relationship between Maggie and Hazel was kinda odd cus of the fact that Maggie is still in highschool and who knows how old Hazel is. That's about it :)

I think a lot of people went into this wanting a romance between Iris and Maggie but that’s not what this film was. While I do think there a valid criticisms regarding how this film falls into gay suffering sub genre of LGBTQ+ I think it handles the friendship between the two main characters well. It’s tender and they truly care for one another despite the prejudices of their small town. I agree that movies of queer joy are important and we need more of them, but period pieces that remind us of how far we’ve come shouldn’t be discounted when delivered with good intention.
