nine minutes in I thought to myself “this is the type of movie to have robots” and then the robots appeared. they/them angelina jolie. this reminds me of the tweet that said that angelina jolie has a track record for bad movies but gets a pass because everyone loves her (me included).

I understand the whole playing to tropes thing they were going for here, but I don’t think the execution hit. honestly a Spielberg son, but also like some sort of alternate reality star wars fanfiction.
