lowkey reminds me of ‘euphoria’ but more raunchy
this isn’t my type of genre but if i liked the genre more i’d rate it higher. wasn’t too bad overall.
with her limited screen time, amber heard once again gives a very raw and incredible performance. her range is actually incredible! i loved this character and she looks stunning as asual!

I apparently became the 666th reviewer on here, which is super weird.
Wasn’t sure how to feel about this one. The plot was a bit thin, lacking layers and was very all over the place. It didn’t feel like there was any motives for what the main characters were doing and the depiction of trauma wasn’t handled well if not at all. How the story played out was these friends were just playing Grand Theft Auto and decided “Hey, what if we did this in real life?” with not a whole lot of motives behind their actions, and even going on their little spree they didn’t do enough shit to call that a “rampage.” Not much is resolved after that, and doesn’t make it seem like a fulfilling film. I’d like it more if I got to see the buildup and the layout of the motives, but we just abruptly walked into something and we’re asking for a little more backstory. Not a fan of how trauma was depicted as it was very brief in just some small spots and was just put on the back burner very quickly with no more exploration. It’s only referenced in nods and I believe it would’ve been more interesting to have it depicted more explicitly while flowing through the story for buildup. It’s a messy script written by someone who doesn’t really know what trauma is. I also cannot buy these characters as teens, there’s one scene in a high school for one of the characters but then everything about high school is not referenced outside of that with no implying that they are teens so therefore I’d have guessed they’d be in their 20s. Some of the lighting and shooting looks alright though. By the end of it all, it’s what you get if you bought Boyz N Tha Hood, La Haine or Menace II Society from Shein.

this movie could’ve been able to emotionally wreck me i it didn’t feel so directionless and disjointed. a couple of the characters were made to be so unlikeable before their trauma was revealed, that by the end of the movie they had no opportunity for redemption. jessie was the only character i could feel bad for, but SERIOUSLY??? these people were just shitty and did bad stuff with no remorse.
