ive fixated on this case before when i was much younger (not a good thing considering im just barely an adult now) but ive been meaning to watch this for a few weeks now. considered putting it on as bg noise but man whatever i had planned was completely forgotten. the movie is well shot. i wouldnt say its like many other exploitative true crime related media though i still hate the nature of most of these. its based (keyword based. they completely removed the fact he talked to other inmates) on jason moss' actual encounter with gacy. better than say netflixs oversensationalized tc shows but thats not hard. acting is alright, jesse moss does his best and forsythes terrifying. alot of this was a hard watch. the scene where gacy talks about jasons brother and their encounter was really intense. i dont think i can give you a short list of triggers in this movie. if you know gacys case you kind of expect this. cant even really make a joke or pun in this review. i wish true crime oriented shows/movies would focus more on the victims than what we already know of the killers. dont we give them enough attention?
