I think this movie would, ironically, be better if it was worse lol

Boyle’s attempts at elevation and artistic flourishes feel very out of place in what is otherwise a dumb and silly and fairly sweet movie.

Seeing the actor playing John actually made me tear up, it was so beautiful seeing him… like, 78? Are you kidding me? Sweet John, miss you everyday.

Besides that, the movie itself is amazing. A world without The Beatles really shouldn’t exist. Bonus points for the lesser known songs being included!

I feel like Ellie could’ve been written better, lost some points because her character was just incredibly selfish throughout the movie. Like please, give poor Jack a break. He’s not abandoning you, and you want him to leave his entire career? Bollocks.
